Exceptional GCSE Results with Academic and Sport Scholarships Awarded

Students at The Duke of York’s Royal Military School are celebrating outstanding success in their GCSE examinations, with exceptional progress and achievements across the board. With 70% of students achieving 9-5 at GCSE. This year, many students have been awarded highly competitive academic, rugby, and sports scholarships into the Sixth Form, in recognition of their academic excellence and dedication to sport.

Principal Alex Foreman said, "I’m so proud of the staff and students’ accomplishments. Whilst academic achievement is at the heart of what we do, our unique environment allows Dukies to immerse themselves wholeheartedly in a breadth of activities beyond the classroom, developing great character, immense confidence and a diverse set life skills needed to take on life’s challenges. As a result, Dukies’ achievement across all aspects of school remains exceptional. Our Sixth Form university-style accommodation and facilities help prepare our students for their next steps. I look forward to welcoming our Dukies back in September, along with many new Dukies who join us.”

Individual successes include: Elijah who secured six Grade 9, two Grade 8, one Grade 7, Rares with four Grade 9, three Grade 8, one Grade 7, Charlie gained three Grade 9, four Grade 8, Indiana with two Grade 9, five Grade 8, two Grade 7, Tadala achieved two Grade 9, one Grade 8, two Grade 7 and Distinction, Edgar gained two Grade 9, two Grade 8, two Grade 7, Temilola secured one Grade 9, three Grade 8, four Grade 7, Maks with one Grade 9, five Grade 8, three Grade 7, Joel achieved one Grade 9, three Grade 8, two Grade 7, Shery with one Grade 9, two Grade 8, five Grade 7, Josh secured one Grade 9, two Grade 8, four Grade 7, Tobi with four Grade 8, two Grade 7, and Iona gained three Grade 8, six Grade 7.

Among the individual success stories there are the fourteen students who have been awarded academic scholarships for their outstanding GCSE results, and seven students who have been recognised for their athletic talents with sports scholarships. Four of these students will join the school's rugby performance pathway in collaboration with Ealing Trailfinders, showcasing the school's commitment to nurturing both academic and sporting excellence. Applications with academic scholarships available to external students to join the Sixth Form remain open.
